Having undergone a $10 million refurbishment and extension, Mangobay Barbados has re-opened with great reviews. This project that has resulted in 12 additional suites as well as extensive enhancements throughout the resort. Among the new accommodations are two 1,200 sq. ft. Penthouse Suites and ten new Deluxe Suites.

It enjoys a sought-after beachfront setting in St. James, on the famous west coast of Barbados. The restaurants and boutiques of fashionable Holetown are just steps away, while golf is readily available on nearby championship courses, Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland. The capital, Bridgetown, is a 25 minute drive away, Grantley Adams International Airport is a 40 minute drive away.
The swimming pool has been retiled with a blue glass mosaic tile and the pool deck has been tiled from the lobby to the beachfront. The restaurant has been completely refurnished and the flooring retiled and is now partially enclosed providing the option of both indoor and outdoor dining.
Mango Bay has also added a boardwalk stretching the breadth of the property along the popular beachfront. The boardwalk adds additional lounge space for relaxing and tanning along the beach and additional seating for deck dining at the restaurant.
And finally, the entrance has been completely transformed to provide a new driveway, porte-cochere and lobby. An oval shaped fountain, tiled with a copper glass mosaic and featuring gas-lit copper torches gives the spellbinding appearance of fire floating on water.
The new lobby area features a rich Italian marble floor tile and curves out into two wings. The left wing houses a new guest lounge which features hardwood floors, a big screen television, computer with Internet access and changing facilities for guests with late departing flights. On the right side of the lobby is the new office space.
